Join us for the first Kokkedoor pop up restaurant in Bonnievale at Weltevrede Family Wine Estate.
Chefs Tiaan Langenegger en Mynhardt Joubert, winners of Kyknet Kokkedoor 2013 cook time-honoured food with a twist. They will serve a four course dinner paired with Weltevrede Wines at the cellar.
An elegant rustic atmosphere will be created starting with a dinner on the outside terrace where Mynhardt and Tiaan will get a chance to meet and interact with guests and discuss the evening’s food and wine. Inside the cellar two further courses will be served. For desert we will rejoin in the courtyard with Weltevrede’s dessert wines and a table full of desserts.
It promises to be an evening not to be forgotten.

A fun, scenic and non-technical route covering a section of the 60km road race. This ride follows the R317 towards Robertson, crossing the Breede River 16km from town after turning left towards Swellendam and Stormsvlei. The route follows the tar road through vineyards, fruit orchards and “Renosterveld” vegetation, with the beautiful Langeberg Mountains in the background. At the Bonnievale Cellar (31 km) the route turns left, crossing the Breede River and back to town.
This ride is for the more serious rider. The first section of the race follows the same route as the 35km. At the Bonnievale Cellar, the route turns right towards Stormsvlei and after a short distance left towards Swellendam crossing the Breede River at 45km before turning back to town. A picturesque route.
Definitely a race for fitter and more serious cyclist. The first section of the race follows the same route as the other road races, but at the turn towards Stormsvlei and Swellendam, the cyclist follow the R317 towards Robertson. At the traffic circle, follow the road towards Ashton, the next turn is right onto the Arabella/Excelsior road. At the T-junction with the R317, turn left towards Bonnievale, and right at the R317 towards Stormsvlei and Swellendam. From there the cyclists follow the 60km route.
This route has been planned for mountain bikers of average fitness and covers a distance of just over 31km.
The ride begins at the Church hall where you obtain your entry form also. It is a one way route that take you through the diversity of our agricultural environment. You will ride along our famous Breede River and also through some of our wine farms in the valley. The route will take you out of town where a few hills will test your strenth, but the views alongs the route and smell of our renosterveld and fynbos will help you back to a stunning ride to the finish. There will be water points along the route but make sure you have enough water for the November heat. Make sure that your tyres are filled with sludge and where possible bring a spare tube.
This route is for the fitter mountain bike rider. You will start at the same venue as the shorter route and will follow the route after which you will turn off onto the longer route. The technical part of the route is moderate which will also be the same for the hills on this route. The larger part of the route is in our renosterveld farm land, where you will be riding a single track route, have a few hills to content with and also have to handle your bike on a few loose gravel areas. There is also parts of the route where you can sit back, or paddle hard and enjoy our scenery of river, wine farms and the Langeberg Mountain range. You will need to have done a few 50km rides prior to the Bonanza route. Water points will help you get refreshed and make sure you have sludge and a spare tube.
